Q. Would you please briefly introduce yourself to fans in South Korea.

A : Hi everyone! Thank you for listening all the way around the world in South Korea.

I was born and raised in Seattle,

Washington and moved to LA

when I was 18 to start my music journey.

I studied fashion and connected with amazing

artists there who helped me discover my sound

and myself as a recording artist.

I have been learning how to write

and record for about 6 years now.

 

 

안녕 모두! 한국에서 내 노래를 들어줘서 고마워

난 워싱턴 주 시애틀에서 태어나고 자랐으며

18살 때 음악을 시작하기 위해 LA로 이사했어.

난 패션을 공부했고 그곳에서 내 사운드를 발견하고 녹음해주는 아티스트들과 알게되어 날 도와줬어.

Q. What was your motivation to start music?

(음악을 시작하게 된 계기가 뭐야?)

 

 

 

 

A : My motivation to start music

was wanting to be a star!

I was always inspired by movies or entertainers with confidence on stage and wanted to do that.

I loved filming videos, taking pictures,

and being in front of the camera.

 

음악을 시작하게 된 동기는 스타가 되고 싶었어!

나는 영화나 연예인을 보며 영감을 받았으며

항상 무대에서 자신감을 가지고 그렇게하고 싶었어.

Q. How did you come up with your name 'Alexis Brooke' ?

(어떻게 너의 활동명 'Alexis Brooke'이 만들어지게 된거야?)

 

 

 

A : My stage name is my first and middle name.

I never use my middle name too much and when thinking of what to use,

I realized it sounded nice.

 

 

내 활동명은 내 첫번째 이름과 중간 이름이야.
나는 중간 이름을 많이 사용하지 않았고 

무엇을 사용할지 생각할 때 그것이 좋다는 것을 깨달았지.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q. How do you usually compose your music?

(보통 작업은 어떻게 이루어져?)

 

 

A : I usually work with a producer who is making a beat.

I like dark sounds, I like R&B, and I like atmospheric smooth stuff.

So usually they know what type of vibe I want,

and I will build off the energy of the beat and just start freestyling until I have words.

Q. Is there a song that motivates you to compose a song?

A : A lot of my inspiration was producers from Germany

and the UK that made really creepy but cool beats.

Q. Please explain your song 'Summertime Fine'

A : I wrote "Summertime Fine" about a party I went to in my hometown.

I saw an old crush from High School, and we clicked back up, it was random but memorable.

I wanted to capture a fun, carefree, happy kind of mood. Such as a summer fling.

 

내가 작곡한 "Summertime Fine"은 고향에서 한 파티에대한 내용이야.
나는 고등학생 때 짝사랑했던 친구를 보았고 우리는 다시 만났어. 

그것은 랜덤이었지만 기억에 남는 것이었지.
재미 있고, 평온하고, 행복한 분위기를 포착하고 싶었어. 여름 날 뛰기와 같은.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q. Who is the artist that influenced you the most?

(네게 가장 많은 영향을 끼친 아티스트는 누구야?)

 

 

A : The artist that I probably look up to the most is The Weeknd'

because of how unique and unafraid he is with his art.

 

가장 존경하는 아티스트는 'The Weeknd' 인데 

그 이유는 그의 독특함과 두려워하지 않는 예술성 때문이야.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q.Are there any artists you want to work with in the future?

(앞으로 함께 협업하고 싶은 아티스트가 있어?)

 

 

A : The Weeknd, Jeremih, and a couple others in the future!

Q. Do you recommend any song?

It doesn't matter if it's your song or not.

(곡을 추천해준다면?너의 곡이어도 상관 없어)

 

 

A : I would love it if you listened to my new song "Set it Off!"

I worked on this song for a year and I love it so much.

 

내신곡 "Set it Off!"를 들어주면 정말 좋을 것 같아."
1년 동안 이 곡을 작업했는데 너무 좋아.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q. Do you have a plan to visit Korea?

(한국에 내한올 계획은 있어?)

 

 

A : Someday I hope I can come to Korea! How cool would that be.

 

언젠가 한국에 갈 수 있었으면 좋겠어! 얼마나 멋질까.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q. What do you do in your free time? any hobbies?

A : I like to sew and take pictures

in my free time

Q. What do you like to do besides writing or singing music?

A : Besides writing and singing, I like to spend quality time with loved ones.

I like being in the sunshine, and I like traveling and making new memories.

 

 

글을 쓰고 노래하는 것 외에도 사랑하는 사람들과 좋은 시간을 보내는 것을 좋아해.
나는 햇빛 쬐는것을 좋아하고, 여행하고 새로운 추억을 만드는 것을 좋아해.

A : I want to say that I am glad my music made you feel something!
